Neil: Typical - things must be bad - nobody able to organise a sun rock/surf/football trip to Brasil.

Matt - read the other day that your local council is in the process of banning beach football, as too many people being hit by "stray" footballs. Is this true?If so will have to reconsider trip.

Hope you are well....

Ali: Great, Thanks Gary. Main things you need to do are choose a date and location. Find camping or accomodation (and arrange to book if necessary). Then get people enthusiastic about going!
Have a chat with me next time you see me for more info but it would be great if you could let me know a date very quickly so we can get it in the newsletter. Have a look on the 'meets page' for what is already booked in for the winter months. If it helps I'm happy to move my bouldering meet.

Kathy: Fran, I am going as Laila's guest so could double up and go as Vag rep.

Ali: Meets list is nearly ready for issue. It's looking good, lots of variety. The only omission is that we have no snow & ice meet - anyone like to organise one? Also anyone like to run the Aug Bank Hol Pembroke meet - dead easy as the campsite doesn't need booking or anything.
Thanks very much to everyone who has already volunteered.

Fran: PeteS take more bromide!!!

Merseyside MC annual dinner 28th November in Caernarfon- would anyone like to go as the Vags representative? Laila is going as she is MMC member, you will recognise many of the MMC form the climbing wall. They do really look after the guest and it is generally a good night!
So deal is one guest with dinner and accomodation paid or 2 just for dinner!!! Let me know asap please

Matt: Iain D.....can highly recommend Arran, the climbing and location are fantastic. End of May good time for this part of scotland without a doubt. Ferries run daily (I think two or three times per day) so no issues with getting there. The ferries go to Brodick which is quite a nice wee town. The walk into Cir Mhor up glen Rosa is fairly easy but very long with a steep bit at the end and if you want to get a load of climbing done, I can recommend you camp up at the top. There's some good bouldering and flat grass areas right under Cir Mhor (near the start of south ridge direct, the hard rock tick). Also relatively easy to drop over the back into upper Glen Sanda from there. There's some great routes , some of the slabs can be very bold "insertion" for example.....A decent range of cams is very handy. Also many of the routes don't get a lot of mileage so expect "adventurous". In the old guidebook there were quite a few sandbags as well but I expect this will have been rectified by the latest editions.......enjoy

Fran: thanks steve- it must have been the work security blanket firewall and censorship that wiped everything I had added - I won't try to alter stuff at work again!!!!
