Fairhead 2010 I suggest Saturday 26 June to Monday 28 June; close to summer solstice for max sun on the crag and enough time to recover after late May BH trips. (Ali; no probs if an adjacent weekend suits the calendar better)
Some may want to make a weekend of it, others the whole week. Easyjet Lpl currently £64 rtn inc 20 kg (leave 19:30 Friday, back 20:45 Mon - 1 hour crag to airport). car hire £20/person (for 3 days). Modern self catering accom £13 per night for 12 or more, if we get 17 we can have an annexe to ourselves: http://www.sheepislandview.com/
Fairhead is arguably the UK's best trad climbing with protection on demand routes HVS to E5, (or harder if you want to run it out a bit!).

I'll be spending a rare night at the hut tomorrow. As I'm off for a run on Saturday morning could I ask that we have lights out at 9:30pm and no noise from those staggering back from the pub? Ta

Meets
Steve B - can you let me know the date for your Roaches Meet next year (sorry, think I lost your emails in my work move)
Iain & Kevin - Could you propose dates for the Arran and Fairhead meets respectively, please.
Anyone like to organise anything in the winter months Jan/Feb & Oct/Nov/Dec 2010? Winter climbing, bouldering, social stuff?
John, sorry hadn't realised we didn't have Tuesdays in beyond the end of Summer. Probably a psychological block - I couldn't face typing in 6 months of indoor Tuesdays :-( Will do it as soon as I get chance

John, your username is 'john' and your password is the place where your wedding reception was held. Log on to change your password in the members area.
Right now there aren't very many members listed. We are going to upload everyone's details in there soon(ish) and get passwords out to everyone (with the next newsletter?).

Billy - if you're short any tools for the weekend can probably acquire some from work - have lots of spades, shovels, picks and probably a few mattocks if needed.. and some barrows though not sure if they'll fit in me skoda. Will bring a few extra handtools anyway and pairs of wellies.. if i can find some without holes..

For those of you lucky enough to have enrolled on the workmeet this weekend, one or two more spades would be helpful. Those working underneath the bridge on advanced pipework would also be advised to bring wellies. When trenching reaches its limits, escape can be found in shifting a load of earth from the front lawn, which has been buried for some years now. There is some plumbing to do and a gas line to run into the kitchen from the rear of the hut. I'm sure other things will spring to mind but a good time will be had by all. And it's free, for the workers. Are you listening Gordon?
