Matt: Fran,

Best time for a rock climbing road trip is between May and July......coldest weather and generally dry. Weather tends to get a little less reliable in Rio between august and October (although still good inland) and between November and April itīs bloody hot although there are some mountain areas with big routes 100 - 500m at over 1500m starting altitude. Have yet to fully explore these but did a couple of routes last summer and the temperatures were bearable but scary thunderstorms common through summer at altitude......The good mountain areas start about an hours drive from Rio and thereīs a wicked looking place called Salinas that Iīve not yet been to which is about 150km away....Let me know when you decide :-)

Arthur: Only ten places left for the Pres Dinner on the 17th.
Sign up now or you might have to go to Kalymnos!
