Outside Group Booking Policy

The Vagabonds Mountaineering Club own a club hut, called Pant-y-Fron, which is situated in the village of Nant Peris in the heart of Snowdonia. As a club we encourage the use of our property with kindred mountaineering clubs and groups, wishing to share our fabulous facility for the pursuit of mountain adventures.

We have allocated 12 weekend dates per year, one a month, when our hut can be booked by outside parties. Vagabond members have the right to use their hut at all times so there is NO exclusive hut use bookings offered to any outside parties though the main bedroom (13 places) will be reserved to outside bookings. This bedroom is laid out in ‘Alpine Bunk’ style and therefore offers no segregated sleeping arrangements.

We will not accept any further bookings, other than the 12 allocated, for weekends under any circumstances. Weekend use is from a Friday, 4pm until Sunday 8pm. The cost for booking weekend use is £150.00 irrespective of numbers (max 13) or hut nights spent.

The hut is available for outside booking use during the week (Monday 9am till Friday 12noon). The same non exclusivity use applies. The cost of booking during the week is £75.00 per night or £7.50 per person per night (min 2persons), whichever is the lesser amount.

All payments for hut use must be made in advance, by personal cheque along with a name list of occupants and the name and address of the group leader. Any damage caused will be billed to the group leader responsible for the booking. Any outstanding issues will result in the future use of the hut being denied.

Regrettably, due to insurance limitations, we cannot allow any party with members under the age of 18 to stay at Pant-y-Fron.
